This email is for our own people. That’s why I slapped it onto a plain sheet in Arial. So the focus stays on the essence, not the design.
Let’s jump straight to the point.
=> We have a powerful update
From the very first module you’ve been asking for a bootcamp, but on launching websites.
We’ve been preparing for this all year. And in the end, we did even more.
We’re announcing Site Builders — a hackathon for launching websites.
What it is:
Site Builders is not a course. Not a training program. Not a framework with principles.
We will have theory banned. Just like it’s banned in the extensions bootcamp.
We’ll simply show what exactly we do when we launch a website. And we’ll do the same with you. Along the way we’ll unpack mistakes and nuances.
In short, it will be a sequence of steps to launch a website that will boost your extension, mobile app or other project.
Starting from the idea — where we’ll filter out 99% of websites that you absolutely must not build (otherwise you’ll spend 3 months making a site no one will ever find in search). Finishing with promotion and monetization of this website.
There will actually be more nuances here than in the extensions bootcamp.
Inside the extensions bootcamp there are 5 modules. Inside the website hackathon there are 7.
About the modules
- Choosing a niche – 1 week
- Site structure, content plan and the first 2 pieces of content – 2 weeks
- Development and initial content for the site – 3 weeks
- Analytics, translations and their implementation – 2 weeks
- Free widgets for an extra boost – 1 week
- Link building – 2 weeks
- Bonuses – 1 week
In each module
- Meeting #1. We go through what exactly needs to be done.
- Meeting #2. We unpack nuances and specific projects of participants. What mistakes were made and how to fix them.
- All mistakes and nuances, as well as the step-by-step sequence (what to do 1-2-3) are stored in the knowledge base.
And so on for each module.
What you’ll end up with
A website that brings in free traffic and boosts your project.
One extension is one attempt, but a powerful one. We immediately make the extension great and let it “marinate”.
And a website is a queue of small, cozy attempts.
And within one website, the number of attempts is unlimited (if you pick the right idea at the start). Which means you can influence website traffic much more strongly over the distance than you can with an extension/mobile app.
That’s why a website is also an awesome booster for your extension/mobile app. Because through the site you can strongly influence the traffic dynamics to the extension/mobile app.
Understanding how to launch these kinds of products. You’ll understand how to launch a website-booster for a software project in 3 months: from idea and development to the most important part — promotion and monetization.
What about costs
- time to launch: 3 months
- launch costs: within $200 for 3 months of work (you’ll need paid subscriptions to some services)
- promotion costs: there won’t be any
- ongoing maintenance costs: no more than $20–50/month for hosting + a paid theme
- all other costs are variable and appear when there’s revenue: 10–20% for paid APIs (if needed), about 20% for VAT, company taxes, acquiring fees, bank fees and other bureaucracy (our paywall team can take this over if you want; the old-timers know this well and actively use it), 8% for the paywall (if you want to delegate all this company/tax/VAT/acquiring/bank/legal bureaucracy to us + get a high-converting paywall).
By the way, about the paywall. All year we’ve been perfectly adapting it for working with websites, not just extensions. Given that it can increase conversion by MULTIPLES, the 8% fee in the paywall is paid back by a multiple conversion lift from using the paywall.
The most important ingredients
We’re not getting into complex adventures:
Just like with extensions there will be 1 launch = solving 1 simple problem.
Launch focused on search traffic.
We’ll launch under free traffic so we can safely make unit economics work and not end up under heavy risk because of paid traffic.
Launch without grey schemes.
Right now SEOs often get results with grey methods, then freak out when a search engine update comes in and wipes out all their work. We’ll be working fully white-hat.
Launch with a minimal budget.
Usually websites need links, and buying them is long, expensive (normally you need a budget starting from $10K) and super boring. We know how to do without those costs.
We launch for the EU and US.
To improve conversion by 10–20x compared to the CIS.
So we’ll be minimizing risks across all directions.
Why the first cohort is special
Because there will be unique people with whom we’ll go through the first cohort together.
Only graduates of the extensions bootcamp can get into the first cohort.
This means we’ll get to know and work with builders from all cohorts starting from the very first one. For context — many of the old-timers already have revenue in the thousands of dollars from extensions, and some — even in the tens of thousands.
You’ll be able to actually work with the old-timers, not just chat with them. Which is 100x more valuable.
The first cohort is not a bootcamp, it’s a hackathon
On a personal note: I’ve long wanted to gather builders from different cohorts at one event. We did this in summer 2025. It was a hot day, but very cozy — sending greetings to everyone who was there)
And now we’ll do more — we won’t just gather. We’ll work together.
We’ll unpack the core and right during the event make the first steps.
We take a topic. For example, searching for and validating a website idea. We unpack it. And implement it right away.
The effect of collaborative work is honestly hard to put into words. Those who’ve been to hackathons know.
The problem with hackathons is that they’re disconnected from promotion and monetization. And for us this will be the main focus.
We’ll work online via Zoom. You’ll be able to ask any questions, send in your project for review, highlight mistakes. After unpacking the core, we immediately switch to work. After the work session I’ll go through mistakes and all the nuances based on what you’ve done.
About the old-timers
I’ll introduce you in this cohort to the most valuable asset in our community — the old-timers who’ve already made it.
For this reason, we won’t invite anyone who hasn’t gone through the extensions bootcamp to the website hackathon. The first one is only for our own people.
Participation fee
- The price of the website hackathon from next year: 142K.
- For Alumni, a 56% discount is available for the first cohort. You’ll be able to join at a price of 62K.
Payment
- Payment for the hackathon for Alumni with a 56% discount is available via this link.
A Telegram bot will open and redirect you to the payment page.
Questions
What if my project doesn’t have many users/revenue yet?
If these metrics aren’t great, we’ll be fixing them with the website launch (assuming your project is actually useful). That’s what we’ll do.
If they’re already good — a website can multiply them.
Who won’t we be able to take into the hackathon?
If you’re churning out a stream of low-quality projects made “just to have more of them”.
(this doesn’t work and only gets in the way, we constantly talk about this)
Is there a refund option?
I’m sure 98% of participants, just like in the extensions bootcamp, will get a real kick out of the program and the joint work.
But if in the first week you feel that the event is not for you — we’ll refund the amount minus the payment system fee.
What’s the time commitment?
Plan about 10 hours of work per week. So you can combine it with your main job.
If one week doesn’t work out, you can catch up in another week. If there’s a force majeure — we’ll move you to the next cohort for free, without extra payment.
Can I launch a website for a local market?
We’ll be launching for the global market.
But local is also possible, though there are nuances. We’ll unpack them in the program.
Do I need to be able to develop?
It’s great if you can. If not — partner up with someone who can. There will be a special track in the hackathon for that. By the way, for developers this is also a hugely recommended opportunity.
Building websites is harder than building extensions, so teaming up with a colleague (who does more than they talk) is a very strong idea.
I’ll show at the hackathon how to understand that a person does more than they talk and is a good fit for partnership. And we’ll help you find each other. As a result — awesome feelings from working together if both people are doers, not talkers.
If I already have an idea for a website, will the hackathon work for me?
In the first week we’ll validate your idea. And see if it fits or not. If it doesn’t — we’ll save you several years on a useless experiment.
If it fits — we’ll upgrade this idea with a ton of nuances and implement it.
If I don’t have a website idea, will the hackathon work for me?
In reality, you already have one. It’s your launched extension/mobile app. But not all ideas are suitable for launching a website around them.
If it’s not suitable — we’ll pick a better idea using a special method with a ton of nuances. There’ll be a similar idea-selection table to the one in the extensions bootcamp, but adapted for websites. They have their own specifics and there will be even more nuances.
Will all meetings be recorded?
Of course. Everyone’s in different time zones, so you’ll be able to watch the recordings.
How long will the materials stay available?
Forever.
Are there payment plans? Can I pay with a Russian card, crypto or a foreign card?
Installments are available for Russian cards. One-time payments without installments are possible with all three: Russian card, crypto or foreign card.
When do we start and what’s the schedule?
- Enrollment closes 26.11.25.
- Meetings are held on Thursdays at 12:00 Moscow time every week.
- If you can’t attend, a recording will be available.
Who can I ask additional questions?
Olya — she’s waiting for you in Telegram @captain_lab_online
Soon we’ll see each other with the participants and welcome the New Year with a website ❤️
